Education

I currently have a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Flute from The College of New Jersey. While attending The College of New Jersey, I completed all possible Keyboard classes available to me, and studied flute with David DiGiacobbe, the principle flute player for the Harrisburg Symphony. I am currently attending New York University for their Master in Music program where I study Flute with internationally renowned soloist and teacher Bradley Garner.

Experience

While attending school, I participated in many summer masterclasses with incredible flutists such as Trevor Wye, renowned British flutist and teacher, and Bart Feller, principle flute player for the New Jersey Symphony. I have headlined three concerts while studying at The College of New Jersey, and feel that I can help students to reach their musical potential in their own performances. I have been teaching both Flute and Piano for about six years and am very passionate about teaching. I have taught all ages, from around 5 years old to adult beginners. Music has been my greatest passion since I was young, and being able to give students the opportunity to experience music, no matter their age, gives me great joy.

Hobbies

Music is truly my biggest hobby, as well as my career. Although I have mostly played classical music, I enjoy listening to Folk and Rock music during my spare time. When teaching, especially with younger students, I use lesson books, as most teachers do. However, I like to include music that the student likes in order to make music a bit more fun for them. I am very proficient in notation programs so that if I can not find a song that a student would like to play, I can write it out myself. I think that including music that is interesting to the student is a great way to keep them interested in learning.
